Franklin Basin Ski/Snowshoe, 5 March 2017
Trip Summary:
- Drove 26 miles to the Franklin Basin Winter Trailhead
- Deanna on skis, Stephanie, Chris, Nikolai, Dave P. and John on snowshoes, and Jasper with a skijoring harness
- Skied and snowshoed up the Steam Mill Trail, down the ridge and back to the trailhead
- Sunny at first, changing to overcast skies as a storm was moving in
- GPS track shows 4.5 miles with 1150 feet of ascent and descent
