2012 Winter Activity Schedule
Winter trips are scheduled
from January to mid March. Participants meet at the
southwest corner of the Smith's Marketplace parking lot at 750 North
Main Street in Logan, Utah. Meeting
times are specified by the hike leader. Participants
should bring food, water, appropriate clothing, and a
donation for gas if carpooling
It is the participant’s
responsibility to be sure the trip is within
his/her ability and stamina, and to have adequate equipment,
including gear for weather and sun.
Contact
the trip leader for more information. The Cache
Trails book is a good source of information for many
of the activities.. Other resources include the Cache
Valley
Visitors Bureau and the Logan
Ranger District. Of special interest is the
exceptionally well-done Logan Canyon Hiking

in Franklin Basin |
The Cache Hikers will host a
moonlight cross-country ski/snowshoe excursion in Franklin
Basin. This is an easy activity, about 5 miles round
trip. Bring a headlamp/flashlight, warm drink, and
warm clothing. Meet at 6:00 p.m. |

Amazon Canyon

The Cache Hikers will host a
cross-country ski/snowshoe trip in Amazon Basin.
This is a moderate activity, about 4 miles, from the Highway
89 UDOT sheds, NW to upper Amazon Hollow, and S to Highway
89 (requires car drop). Meet at 10:00 a.m. |
